Tera Lynn Childs has been writing with the serious intent of publication for three years. Her first completed manuscript, a Regency-set historical titled Summer Sapphire, was a finalist in the short historical category of the 2004 Golden Heart contest by Romance Writers of America.

Though she loves historicals, she left the 2004 RWA national conference in Dallas inspired to write something more contemporary. Edgy. Chick lit-y. Eye Candy, her second manuscript, is a finalist in the first annual Get Your Stiletto in the Door contest sponsored by the Chick Lit Writers chapter of RWA. She is currently at work on her second chick lit.

Tera is a member in good standing of Romance Writers of America and several chapters, including: Chick Lit Writers of the World, the Beau Monde, and the Golden Network. She serves as Membership Chair on the board of the West Houston chapter.
