Shana Galen’s regency-set historicals have won numerous awards. Most recently, her debut novel, When Dashing Met Danger finaled in RWA©-sponsored Golden Heart. Though Shana didn’t win the Golden Heart, she won a contract with Avon Romance, and the novel will be published in May 2005.

As a veteran teacher of nine years, five in Houston's inner city, Shana's students keep her grounded. It's hard to ride off in a coach and four for an evening at Vauxhall when thirty-three sixth graders erupt into the carriage the moment the tardy bell rings.
