2004 Golden Heart Finalists

Deborah Pfeiffer writes contemporary romantic comedy and is a 2004 RWA Golden Heart Finalist in the Single Title Contemporary category with her book Dreams Come True. She’s also worked 19 years in publishing, formerly as a trade magazine editor, and now runs her own business, SWYM Editorial – Say What You Mean, providing freelance copy writing, reporting, editing, production management, and public relations to clients ranging from industrial to educational, from high-tech to consumer. She’s a graduate of the University of Illinois, summa cum laude, in political science and German.

Pfeiffer has lived in Illinois, Oregon, and Austria, traveled extensively through Europe, and visited places as diverse as Rio de Janeiro, Moscow, Beijing, Seoul, and Hong Kong. She currently resides in Chicago’s western suburbs with her husband and dog. In her spare time, she likes to hike, bike, dance (from ballet to belly dancing), garden just a little, and take family cross-country road trips. When she’s not doing any of the above, she’s reading, reading, reading.
