Welcome to the Ghophers website! This site was the brainchild of Tera Lynn Childs and the other 2004 finalists in the Golden Heart contest, sponsored by the Romance Writers of America©. Each year hundreds of aspiring writers enter the GH contest with high hopes of selling their manuscript and becoming a published writers. We are a smattering of the finalists from 2004 (the GH finalists from 2004: the Ghophers). Some of us have sold, and some of us are still working toward Mission: Publication. We write in all genres — category, chick lit, historical, romantic suspense, and more. We’ve founded this common community for readers and writers who love the craft of storytelling
